More About Outreach

Even though low incomes burden them, the goal of each interaction is to help people build on their ability to be self-reliant. Assistance involves getting to know and understand someone's needs, past experiences and hopes for the future. Services not only help with immediate crises, but encourage learning, skill building and increased economic independence. Our effort is guided by the principles and practice of Family Economic Development, a model for services that respects people, offers hope and connects people with the opportunities to learn and grow in their self reliance.

"Dear Kim...Thank you so much for your help and support.  I was so embarrassed and ashamed when I walked through BROC's doors.  BUT you were so kind and compassionate.  I left feeling so much better.  You are a blessing and thank you for all you have done for me and my girls and the community."
