It Makes Sense To Shop At BROC'S Good Cents Stores If you are looking for great bargains at great low prices, then we invite you to visit one of BROC's Good Cents Stores. Our Rutland store, located at 38 West Street, opened in November 1998 not only as a good quality, secondhand thrift store, but also as a retail training center in partnership with the Reach Up programs of the Department for Children and Families/Economic Services (formerly PATH), as well as the Department of Employment and Training.

In September 1999, in a large room at the BROC office at 332 Orchard Road in Bennington, we opened a second store. Within a year, this location had also become a retail training site. On February 25, 2002, the Bennington store reopened bigger and better in the lower level of the same building. Each participant placed at our Good Cents Stores have the opportunity to learn retail sales, accounting procedures, and marketing. We also offer soft skill enhancement and job search training. Each participant establishes an individual goal or task they would like to achieve; with the ultimate goal of being able to secure employment in the retail industry.

Our stores offer a variety of items including furniture, electronics, appliances, children's items, designer brand name clothing, household items, knickknacks, and much more! Most of the items sold are provided through the generous donations from individuals and businesses.

Items may be brought in for consignment between 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Tuesday - Saturday.

New items coming in every day! Our stores accept almost any item in excellent condition with a minimum value of $20.00. Consignment items are allowed to remain for sale for 45 days.

Our consignors receive 40% of the selling price.
